The transparent washes allowed me to slowly build depth and luminosity, layer by layer, while preserving the light-filled quality that first inspired me.

I was especially interested in how the veins directed the eye through the painting, almost like pathways carrying light and energy through the petals. The shifting cool purples against warmer magenta tones create movement and dimension, while the soft background allows the flower itself to feel intimate and immersive, almost suspended in light.
