Refund policy

Returns & Refunds — 53 Fine Arts

Because our note cards are individually printed, affordable keepsakes, we handle issues a little differently than a typical return policy — you'll never need to mail anything back to us unless you're ordering from the EU (see below).

Damages and issues

Please inspect your order as soon as it arrives. If your card arrived damaged, defective, misprinted, or if you received the wrong item, contact us within 7 days of delivery at tasneem.arif@gmail.com with a photo of the issue, and we'll send a replacement or issue a full refund — no need to send anything back.

Final sale

Because of the low cost of our note cards, we're unable to offer returns or exchanges for reasons other than damage or defect — this includes a change of mind or ordering the wrong card by mistake. We encourage you to read each card's description and look closely at the photos before ordering, and we're always happy to answer questions about size, paper, or wording before you buy.

Sale items

Items purchased during a sale or promotional event are final sale and not eligible for return, exchange, or refund, unless the item arrives damaged or defective.

Refunds

Once we've confirmed a damage, defect, or wrong-item claim, we'll notify you and issue your refund to your original payment method within 10 business days. Please note it can take additional time for your bank or card issuer to post it. If more than 15 business days have passed since we approved your refund, contact us at tasneem.arif@gmail.com.

Original Art, Prints & Commissions — 53 Fine Arts

(Separate from the note card refund policy — for originals, giclee reproduction prints, and commissioned paintings)

Refunds

No refunds or exchanges on original paintings, commissioned paintings, or giclee reproduction prints. All sales are final.

That said, I want every collector to feel completely confident in their purchase. Please read each listing description carefully, and if color accuracy matters to you, keep in mind that colors can appear slightly different across screens and monitors. Each piece is photographed in natural and/or professional studio lighting, but subtle variation between the photo and the piece in person is normal for original art. If you have any questions before purchasing, about color, texture, scale, or anything else, reach out at tasneem.arif@gmail.com. I'm happy to answer by email, phone, or send additional photos or video to help you feel sure about your purchase.

Commissions

Interested in a commissioned piece? Email me at tasneem.arif@gmail.com and let's talk  I love hearing about the story or space behind a commission.

To get started, I'll need: your preferred size(s), up to three colors you'd like featured, and a few inspiration images so I can get a feel for your style. From there, I'll send a quote — once it's approved, a 50% deposit is required to begin.

Once your deposit is received, I'll share progress photos along the way. Turnaround time is typically 4–6 weeks from deposit to completion. I include up to two rounds of revisions (within what's physically possible for the piece); additional changes beyond that are billed at my hourly rate of [INSERT RATE].
