The story behind the painting

I painted this hummingbird perched on a quiet branch, working in soft, layered brushstrokes to hold onto that fleeting moment of stillness in nature. Hummingbirds have always meant joy and resilience to me, the simple beauty of just being present.

Partway through painting it, I realized this piece was never really about the bird. It was about finding peace in the small moments that lift us up. This card is a reproduction of that original watercolor.
