With this painting, I wanted to express warmth and tenderness through the rich colors of a yellow and red rose.
My process is slow, intentional. I build each petal with delicate, translucent washes, colors blend and contrast in a way that feels both soft and striking. Layer by layer, the colors deepen, revealing the velvety textures. When you look closely, the forms almost melt into bold, abstract shapes.
This card is a reproduction of that original watercolor.
Sized just right to slip into any gift bag or envelope, they’re not only practical but also a joy to receive.
Made to be kept
Printed on matte card stock with careful attention to color, so the deep violets and lit magentas hold their depth in print. It has the weight and feel of a small piece of art many people keep a card like this long after the occasion, propped on a shelf or tucked into a frame.

I have purchased several pieces from Tasneem over the years, from original watercolors to prints, and even high quality stickers of her art.
Like these note cards, I have given all (but one!) pieces away to loved ones, both because sharing beautiful works made by highly talented artists is a great joy of mine and also because I am always tremendously impressed by her skill. She is also such a lovely, humble person, and it's always a treat to run into her in person!
I wrote a thank you on this most recent purchase, and the recipient (mom) told me shortly after the card arrived that they had placed it in a frame to be displayed on the wall. They said it deserved much better treatment than staying propped up on the counter for a very weeks.
Tasneem has incredible technical skill and I look forward to seeing her portfolio grow over the years. You will not be disappointed!
