Send a little courage, wrapped in light

There's a rose here that doesn't ask you to be fine it asks you to keep going anyway. Red and yellow layer into each other like courage catching up to hope, and the petals hold a soft inner glow that feels earned rather than easy.

I painted this rose during a season that felt heavy the kind where you wake up, keep going, and still find a way to offer kindness and presence to the people around you. As I worked, the colors kept telling me something. The red felt like courage: the quiet bravery it takes to keep going when life is uncertain. The yellow felt like hope: a gentle light that stays lit even in the darkest moments.

Resilience doesn't look loud. It doesn't look perfect. Sometimes it just looks like a woman refusing to give up on herself. Layer by layer, I let the petals hold that glow  because that's what resilience does. It makes light in places we thought had none. This card reproduces my original watercolor, painted on handmade cotton rag paper.
