Angel Wings | White Iris Watercolor Art Print, Limited Edition Giclée

One spring morning, as I was driving, I noticed the sunlight falling across a cluster of white irises. I pulled over to take a few photos, and when I moved around to capture them with the light behind them, I caught my breath. The petals glowed from within, opening outward like a pair of angel wings, bright and weightless.

This painting began with that moment. I built the white iris with the softest watercolor washes, letting each petal unfold slowly and naturally, one layer at a time. As the bloom took shape, so did the wings: light, translucent, and quietly radiant.

The luminous background was added with intention, surrounding the flower in a gentle glow. It holds calm and brightness together, a reminder that peace doesn’t have to feel distant or muted. It can be warm, present, and alive in your space.

A small sanctuary of light for any room that needs a little more grace.
