My painting of a purple iris captures the flower’s graceful beauty and the way sunlight glows through its delicate petals. Using soft, flowing layers, I build depth and richness in the purples, blues, and hints of gold where the light shines through. The backlighting creates a luminous effect, making the petals almost translucent, while the deep shadows add contrast and drama.
