I’m thrilled to have the opportunity to share a little bit about myself and my passion for creating art that brings beauty and joy into people’s lives. It’s been quite a ride, full of unexpected twists and turns.
My artistic journey began during my teenage years when I started taking art classes. Back then, I never imagined that art would become such a significant part of my life. In fact, I initially pursued a more “safe” path by going to school to study graphic design. I thought this would guarantee me a stable monthly income. My first job in the field involved designing gift bags and gift tags, and I did enjoy it.
Life took a beautiful turn when my daughter was born. I decided to venture into freelancing so I could have more flexibility in my schedule to take care of her. I managed to secure a few clients, and for a while, things were going well. However, there was a persistent doubt in the back of my mind. I secretly believed that I wasn’t a good enough designer and that I wouldn’t truly succeed in this field. The pressure began to mount, and it wasn’t long before I experienced burnout.
Then, along came my son, and balancing clients, projects, a baby, and household responsibilities became nearly impossible. It was at that point that I made a pivotal decision. I chose to close my freelance business and focus on my home and my children. Looking back, I can confidently say that it was the best decision I ever made.
After my son turned three, I started to feel a spark of inspiration to pick up my sketchbook again. I decided to dedicate a small part of each day to practicing my drawing skills. Over the next few years, I diligently honed my craft, and I gradually began to master the art of sketching.
However, I wasn’t satisfied with just sketching. I had a burning desire to paint with watercolors, but this medium presented its own set of challenges. I bought books on watercolor techniques, but they didn’t quite do the trick. It was through a few fortuitous encounters with YouTube videos that I found my true mentor. For two full years, I immersed myself in the world of watercolor landscapes and floral painting.
With patience and persistence, my watercolor skills improved, and I couldn’t help but get excited about the possibility of turning this passion into a career. The joy I found in creating art and the encouragement of those who saw my work fueled my ambition.
Today, as I look back on my journey, I am grateful for the winding path that led me to where I am now. It goes to show that sometimes, the most unexpected detours in life can lead to the most beautiful destinations. My art has become not only a creative outlet but also a source of inspiration and purpose, reminding me that it’s never too late to pursue your true passion.
I wake up every day with a mission in my heart—to create pieces of art that inspire, uplift, and fill the world with vibrant colors and positive energy. It’s my way of making a small but meaningful contribution to the collective happiness and wonder of our beautiful planet.
Through my art, I hope to touch your heart, make you smile, and remind you of the incredible beauty that exists all around us. Thank you for being a part of this adventure, and I can’t wait to share my creations with you!
